We are proud to feature local photographer Karin Belgrave as our October Artist in Residence. Karin's work bridges the gap between fine art and commercial art and the exhibition reflects this. Delicate Portraits, exquisite weddings and events, and gorgeous photographs of Old York Cellars (shot in black-and-white and color) all hang side by side. Visitors can admire the aesthetic beauty of these images while considering whether Karin is the right photographer to capture a special moment in their lives. Karin's many photographs of Old York Cellar's picturesque landscape will add to the celebration of our one year anniversary.
About Karin:
I inherited my love of photography from my Grandfather, and have been exploring the love since childhood. There is a unique thrill in capturing the essence of a given moment - of a child, or a proud father, or an equine athlete. Being able to share that image with others provides me with a satisfaction I can’t describe. My life is chock full of satisfying and meaningful elements. I am married to the love of my life. I am a Mommy to two beautiful children, and it is the most rewarding and fascinating job I’ve ever had. I am a lover of horses, and an avid fan of Three-Day Eventing and Thoroughbred Racing. My dogs are considered part of my family. I am loyal to a fault. I love things that are old, especially old houses - and have had the privilege of owning and rehabilitating two of them. I crave good coffee, crusty bread with real butter, and lobsters from Nickerson’s. I miss my Mom every day. I laugh a lot - often at myself - and don’t be surprised if we laugh a lot during your photo shoot. I love meeting new people, and I look forward to meeting you!
