Calling Artists
Mixing Palettes is a Plein Air program that provides artists with a gorgeous setting to paint outdoors. All plein air events are free and open to artists of all skill levels. Participating artists also receive free wine tastings and a 10% discount on bottle purchases during the event. We are scheduling three plein air weekends in 2013, however artists are invited to come out and paint the vineyard at any time. Spring:
Mixing Palettes Paint-off and Exhibition
Paint-off: April 6th & 7th, 12-5pm
Exhibition: April 13th– May 24th
Closing Reception and Awards Ceremony: May 24th, 6-9pm, (live music)
Old York Cellars announces its second annual plein air paint-off and exhibition. For the paint-off, artists have two days to create a plein air masterpiece. This work will be entered into a viewer-juried exhibition with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place “best in show" awards. Winners will be announced during the Closing Reception at the end of May. The grand prize includes a two-month solo exhibition at the winery. Space is limited. Sign up today to ensure your spot. See signup form below.

Calling Artists and Art Educators
Old York Cellars is introducing a new a series of wine and art seminars beginning in the spring of 2013. We are seeking qualified artists and art educators to offer one-off or ongoing classes on any art related subject. whether you are an independent teacher, a representative of an educational institution, or a practicing artist who possesses exceptional knowledge in a given technique, Old York Cellars will work hand in hand with you to produce a successful seminar.
We will promote the seminar on our Facebook, website, and to our sizable mailing list. We will also provide a glass of wine and tasting coupon ($10 value) for each seminar attendee. Instructors can name the price of their class and keep all of the admission collected minus the $10 per person for the wine and coupon mentioned above. Instructors are responsible for all materials, and should include this cost in the admissions price. Instructors will be expected to actively promote their seminar via Facebook, website, and other appropriate mediums.

Calling Galleries and Art Collectives
Old York Cellars is inviting galleries and art collectives to curate two-month shows of 2 dimensional work in our exhibition space beginning in the summer of 2013. Our gallery is located in our 1,100 sq/ft Vista Room and features 80ft of wall space, a stone fireplace, a wine bar, hardwood floors, and a panoramic view of the picturesque vineyard. Benefits of exhibiting include; getting a space to show and sell work without having to pay rent or commission, gaining access to our growing customer base, and having the possibility to combine exhibition events with our popular music events. Galleries and collectives will be expected to take initiative in promoting their exhibition and any related events.
