In this guide, I will show pretty much every single money maker worth doing in Free to Play.

So, you can work towards upgrading your armour or weapons, put towards skills or towards getting a bond.

Starting off

After completing Tutorial Island and landing yourself in Lumbridge, this is how I recommend you go about getting your first cash stack. Make your way to the Lumbridge Graveyard,

and ensure you still have the Bread and Shrimp that you got off Tutorial Island.

Speak to Count Check, and ask him where you can learn more.

He will teleport you one time straight to the entry of the Stronghold of Security,

where you can claim 10 000 coins, along with some Boots.

To claim your rewards, you will need to have activated 2 Factor Authentication on your Runescape account.

To quickly set that up, you can osrs zeah money making into the Account Management Tab and click View Inbox.

This takes you to your account settings,

where you can then scan and set up your Google Authenticator in a couple of minutes.

Shop Selling

The goal with Free to Play Shop Selling is to buy items in bulk, and then take it to its specialised store, and since specialised stores buy items for usually more than their High Alch Value, you can make a big profit. Tanning Cowhide

As a Free to Play player, you can turn Cowhide into Leather and Hard Leather. Both Soft and Hard Leather have very similar prices, and the profit is about 40 coins per Tanned Cowhide. A full hour can net you a minimum profit of 60 000 per hour.

Making Iron Bars

Upon reaching level 15 Smithing, which you can easily get from doing The Knight’s Sword Quest, you unlock smelting Iron Ore. By using Rings of Forging, you are guaranteed an Iron Bar outcome, and you actually profit about 80 000 per hour. The closest Furnace to a Bank in Free to Play is now the Edgeville Furnace, which also has no requirements.

Making Silver Bars

You can also make Silver Bars at level 20, and by turning them into Bars, you profit about 30 coins per bar. In a full hour, you will profit about 40 000.

Sapphire Rings

Crafting is another low requirements skill that osrs zeah money making quite a lot of money in Free to Play, osrs zeah money making. At level 20, you unlock Sapphire Rings, which are actually the most profitable Jewellery to make in Free to Play. Currently, it gives 110 per Ring that you make. Medium Requirements

Moving into the Medium Requirement Methods…

Tele-Grab Nature Runes

The first one requires level 33 Magic for Telekinetic Grab. By taking a Staff of Air and Law Runes to this location in the Wilderness, you can tele-grab Nature Runes for a pretty big profit.

Be mindful though – this is a popular PK area, simply die to this money making method. But, with the huge increase in the number of Free to Play Worlds, this method is not so bad. Each tele-grab gets 3 or 4 Nature Runes, as well as 43 Magic XP. In an hour, consistently tele-grabbing and hopping, you can get 200 000 – 250 000 coins per hour.

Ogress Warriors

Next up is Ogress Warriors, and these can be found down the hole in the Corsair Cove Forest. To access Corsair Cove, you need to only start the Corsair Cursed Quest.

I recommend using Magic or Ranged to kill the Ogress Warriors, and there are many, many safe spots around the room. On the screen, I am showing all of the safe spots that I know of, and there are a lot in there if you go further into the cave.

There are also Ogress Shamans around here that you need to watch out for. They use Magic. But, they only have a Max Hit of 8, osrs zeah money making. So, you can make it through as a low level. Ogress Warriors drop a lot of Runes and Rune items, equating to 100 000 – 200 000 coins per hour. This is completely depending on your weapon and Combat Level. These warriors are also great for Ironmen, since they drop a lot of Law Runes, Nature Runes and Alchables.

Anti-Dragon Shields

The next Medium Method is stock piling Anti-Dragon Shields in Edgeville after completing the Dragon Slayer Quest. He stocks 35 Shields for 26 coins at starting value, and they sell pretty much instantly for 75 coins on the Grand Exchange. The worlds are surprisingly empty as well – most likely due to the large number of Free to Play worlds. A full hour can net you a profit off about 80 000 after selling them back. But, keep in mind here, that you will need about 75 000 coins to start with to buy all the shields.

Mid-Level Mining

Mining Coal or Gold Ore is another decent way to profit as a Free to Play player. You can mine Coal near the Edgeville bank, at Barbarian Village, and the best osrs zeah money making to mine Gold is in the Al Kharid Mine.A full hour of Coal can net you 30 000 – 40 osrs zeah money making per hour, while Gold can bring in up to and over 70 000 an hour.

Making Pizzas

The next method is cooking, and cooking overall is quite a profitable skill, osrs zeah money making. But, the best way to profit is by making Pizzas. The process of making pizzas is a little longer than standard cooking. Lots of people will tell you that making Meat or Anchovy Pizzas is the best money. But, the most money actually comes out of making Pizzas from scratch.

By using a Pizza Base, which you can make with a Bucket of Water and a Pot of Flour, you can add a Tomato and Cheese to make it an Uncooked Pizza.

Cooking it turns a profit of 180 coins per pizza. You can then add Meat or Anchovies to it. But, that will only boost the profit by about 20 coins. One important thing to know though, is that you will have a chance of burning the Pizzas until 68 Cooking, where after that you will never burn an Uncooked Pizza. Cooking in itself is fairly break-even and profitable. So, getting to 68 should not take too long or cost much at all.

Tele-Grab Wines

Next is a very well-known money maker in Free to Play, and that is Wines of Zamorak. With Telekinetic Grab Runes, you can make your way to the Chaos Temple, located north of Falador.

There is now a ladder within the Temple that requires you to be wearing a Zamorak Monk Top and Bottom.

As well as that, you need to have 500 total levels. The upstairs wine is far less crowded, and grabbing wine for the full hour here – if you do not get disturbed and you use a Falador Teleport to bank and go back – then, you can easily achieve over 200 000 – 300 000 per hour here.

High Requirements

Smithing Rune

Now, let’s get into the High Level Requirement Money Makers for Free to Play.

First, arguably the best money maker in Free to Play, as well the highest requirement method in this article, osrs zeah money making, and that is Smithing Rune Plateskirts, Platelegs or 2h Swords at 99 Smithing. In an hour, you can make 700 000 – 900 000, osrs zeah money making, depending on how focused you are. That easily pulls in at least 400 000 per hour. It is worth checking the prices for these, though, and working it out yourself. This is because Rune Bars can fluctuate quite a lot. Something that is also worth noting is that you will need a big cash stack to start.

Cutting Yews

The next High Requirement method is a pretty average one in terms of making money, and that is cutting Yew Trees, which need 60 Woodcutting. At level osrs zeah money making, you can only expect a maximum of about 40 000 coins per hour. At higher levels above 90 Woodcutting, you can get up to 80 000 profit an hour.

Mining Rune

Mining Adamant

Mining Adamant consistently for an hour can net you 130 000 – 180 000 coins per hour.

Melee Ogress Warriors

The final High Requirement Methods in this article are Combat Methods, where I recommend having at least full Rune and a Rune Scimitar. First, using Melee on Ogress Warriors can be considerably faster than using Magic or Range, and you will get a slight boost in your profit per hour.

Melee Ankous

Ankous are another great option, located on the final level of the Stronghold of Security. In an hour of doing this, you can expect 80 000 – 100 000 coins per hour.

Obor

There are also 2 Free to Play Bosses now available. Bryophyta, the Moss Giant Boss, sadly, does not give a big amount of profit.

But, fighting Obor gives the Hill Giant Club, which is currently over 500 000 in value.

To fight Obor, you need to get a Giant’s Key from killing regular Hill Giants. The Boss Fight itself can be quite tough. So, a Strength Potion and osrs zeah money making is needed. Obor attacks with both Melee and Ranged, and he osrs zeah money making knows what Prayer you are using at what time. Along with the Hill Giant Club, he drops a lot of high value Runes, as well as large amounts of Alchable drops.

There are many ways of making money in Oldschool Runescape, osrs zeah money making. The problem is, so many of the ‘good’ money makers require high skills, a high combat level, or require you to have the money for gear and supplies already.

As a lower-level account, another issue with making money is the amount of competition for resources, whether that be other players or pesky bots.

Here are a few ideas on money-making methods that are lesser-known, allowing you to get in on the action.

Low-level Runecrafting Money Making

To many people, possibly including yourself, Runecrafting is too tedious of a skill. But that’s the beauty of it. So many people shy away from Runecrafting, creating the space for osrs zeah money making to make some serious cash.

One of the lowest level Osrs zeah money making methods for money-making only requires 13+ Runecrafting. Complete the Abyss Miniquest and do a few altar runs, osrs zeah money making, and you’re there already! If you have 50+ Runecrafting, it is worth using your Runecraft Pouches. Note that using pouches will require one extra Water Talisman per trip as you will perform two separate crafts.

Before you reach 50 Runecrafting, you can expect this method to earn you roughly 500K/H depending on your speed and the current prices. At 50+ Runecrafting, allowing you to do two crafts each run, you can see upwards of 800K/H profit. This method is also a great form of experience for Runecrafting for lower levels.

Low-Level Combat Money Making

Combat methods for good money making are hard to come by. Most NPCs at a low level don’t drop much of value, and any that do are overpopulated with players. But, here’s a niche option for you that should result in you being able to make some cash while training your combat skills.

For this method, it is suggested to have 40+ Combat. You will also need to have completed the Ardougne Medium diaries and the quest: Tower of Life.

In this method, you’ll be gathering Spider Eggs in the Tower of Life. In terms of gear, you’ll need some food for survival if your defense is very low (Lobsters), suitable Armor (Rune is fine), and the best osrs zeah money making you can equip. The teleportation methods used are Rings of Duelling and the Ardougne Cloak 2.

You will need a few sardines (1 for each kill) and around 12 Red Spider Eggs to start.

The method is as follows:
• Prepare your inventory (12 sardines, 12 spider eggs, food)
• Investing in dubai financial market to the Monastery (Ardougne Cloak 2)
• Run North-East to the Tower (To the basement)
• The altar is in the South-West corner
• Use sardine on the altar
• Kill the Spidine that spawns
• Continue to do this, picking up the drops

This is a viable method for lower combat levels, reaching 500K/H or more when the prices are good. This isn’t the best way to train if you’re focused on combat experience as there are much better XP/h methods for that. As a money-making combat method at low levels, osrs zeah money making, though, this is a fantastic method.

Low-Level Blast Furnace Money Making

The Blast Furnace is often over-looked for lower-level Smithing training. However, with it vastly reducing osrs zeah money making amount of Coal used to make Bars, the cost is also reduced, osrs zeah money making, leaving much more space to profit.

To start with this method, you will need at least level 15 Smithing and the completion of the Giant Dwarf quest. You will need some cash to start with this method as you’ll need to buy yourself the supplies to smelt. If you don’t have cash to start, you could buy OSRS Gold from Divica Sales.

There’s not too many necessary, although purchasing a bunch makes it easier. You will also require buckets of water. You can fill these osrs zeah money making the Blast Furnace if you don’t have many.

The method is simple, you place the amount of Ore and Coal required into the furnace, and the Bars are created. Use the bucket of water on the bar to cool it so your character can pick that up, osrs zeah money making. Bank the Bars, withdraw more Ore, and repeat.

You can make the following Bars:
• Iron Bars – 15 Smithing – 1 Iron Ore (150K/h)

• Mithril Bars – 50 Smithing – 1 Mithril Ore + 2 Coal (350K/h)
• Adamant Bars – 70 Smithing – 1 Adamant Ore + 3 Coal (780K/h)
• Runite Bars – 85 Smithing – 1 Runite Ore + 4 Coal (800K/h)

Please note that these prices are always changing, and the profit per hour here is based at max speed and efficiency with average pricing. As you can see, the jump at 30 Smithing making Steel Bars is incredibly profitable.

You’ll also gain quite a osrs zeah money making of Smithing experience with this method, a skill that otherwise would cost money to train rather than making it.

So there you have it, osrs zeah money making, three great ways to make money as a lower-level account. Whether you’re stacking up the cash to afford gear you like or to pay for your membership with Bonds, these methods will be sure to give you a viable way of bringing in some gold.

Why should I do herb runs?

OSRS osrs zeah money making runs have extremely low requirements to start doing efficiently. Each run can profit anywhere from 50k-100k and upwards depending on current prices. Herbs only take 80 minutes to grow fully, meaning you can do runs very frequently.

Each run only takes about five minutes to complete fully, sometimes even less if you have the most optimal teleports available. As early as level 32, you’ll be able to harvest one of the most profitable herbs.

On top of the great, passive money, you’ll be getting some relatively decent Farming experience. I’ve personally farmed herbs solely from levels 32-80 and made an incredible profit while training other skills. To put electrician or plumber make more money simply, if you aren’t doing herbs run – you’re missing out!

Useful Quests & Unlocks

Before we begin doing our runs, let’s take a look at some helpful resources that will allow us to do more efficient runs. Note that absolutely none of these are required, but will electrician or plumber make more money your profits and run speeds significantly. Try to unlock as many of them as you can.

Magic Secateurs

This is wieldable version of the Secateurs tool that you need to harvest herbs. When wielded, it grants you a 10% bonus yield of herbs. This difference is crucial to getting more herbs during your runs. It is unlocked by completing the Fairytale I – Growing Pains quest.

Ultracompost

When using Ultracompost on an herb patch, you are guaranteed a minimum of six herbs. In addition to this, it will reduce the chance of your herbs being diseased by up to 90% osrs zeah money making growth stage. This is super effective when farming any herbs that create a high profit and/or have expensive seeds. The cheaper Supercompost can also be effective, osrs zeah money making, but only use this on cheaper seeds.

Graceful Armour

Herb runs will have you running around the map quite a bit. It’s best to have the lowest weight possible in order to allow your run energy to last longer. See this guide to find out more about Graceful and how to unlock it quickly.

Ectophial

If you plan on using the Port Phasmatys patch, this item is almost necessary. It is unlocked by completing the Ghosts Ahoy quest. It allows you to easily teleport to the Ectofuntus Temple which is very close to the herb patch in the area.

Explorer’s Ring 2+

Completion of the medium Lumbridge & Draynor diary will award you with this ring. It allows you to teleport to the cabbage patch just south of the Falador herb patch up to three times per day. In addition to this, it can also restore half of your run energy two times per day. The Explorer’s Ring 3 will allow you to teleport an unlimited number of times.

My Arm’s Big Adventure

In order to use the Troll Stronghold patch, you must complete the My Arm’s Big Adventure quest.

The Troll Stronghold patch is one of the most “out there” patches. Completing the Edgar’s Ruse quest will allow you to teleport to a close location. If you do not have the Magic level to use the spell, you can modify house teleport tablets to redirect to Trollheim.

Level 25 Construction

With this Construction level, you can talk to an Estate Agent to change your house location to just outside of the Hosidius House. This is an easy way to access the herb patch in Great Kourend.

Stamina Potions

If you have a low Agility level, no Graceful gear, or don’t have very many quick teleports unlocked – these will help you greatly. It is completely worth using 1-2 doses per run if necessary, you will still make a profit and your runs will be much more efficient.

Herb Patches

There a total of 9 herb patches scattered around OSRS. About 5-6 of them are easily accessible for most accounts. Some have high requirements to access, but don’t fear! Herb runs are completely worth it even if you can only quickly access 4 patches.

South of Falador

This patch can be easily accessed by the Explorer’s Ring 2 cabbage patch teleport. If you do not have this item, use the Amulet of Glory to teleport to Draynor or use a Falador teleport.

Catherby

The Catherby patch is one of the easiest to access. Use a Camelot teleport and run east until you reach the patch. If you’re using the Lunar Spellbook teleport, osrs zeah money making, you will run north instead.

Troll Stronghold

Use a Trollheim teleport to the top of the mountain. Use the Agility shortcuts to make your way down the west side. Follow the path north-west past the troll camp and into the Stronghold. Head up the ladder inside to access the patch.

Hosidius

Change your house location to Great Kourend. Use a house osrs zeah money making to quickly access this area. From here, run north until you reach the patch. Xeric’s Talisman is another good option here.

Harmony Island

With completion of the Morytania Elite diaries, you can use the herb patch on Harmony Island. A Harmony Island teleport tablet is the easiest way to access this area. The Arceuus spellbook also has a teleport, but requires at least 60% Arceuus favour as well as level 65 Magic.

Canifis

Accessing this patch is only worth it if you have the Ectophial unlocked. The run otherwise is too far/long to be worth your time. Use your Ectophial and run to the west until you reach the patch.

Ardougne

If you have access to the Ardougne Cloak 2+, you can use the cape to teleport directly to the herb patch. Otherwise, the easiest method would be an Ardouge teleport, then run north to the patch.

Weiss

Use the fairy ring network to teleport to code DKS. Head west from here and speak to Larry to travel on his boat. When you arrive, head to the east and enter the cave. Continue south-west until you reach a boulder that can be crossed to reach the patch.

Farming Guild

An herb patch is available in the tier 2 or higher Farming Guild. It can be very easily accessed by the Farming Osrs zeah money making teleport on the Skills Necklace.

Herb Chart

Now that you’ve decided which locations you want to use, and have gathered up all of your helpful gear, osrs zeah money making, it’s time to choose what type of Herb to plant. Prices will vary, but the chart below will give you a good idea of osrs zeah money making to osrs zeah money making. Some herbs offer more experience, but less money, and vice versa. Even if you’re doing Herb runs for experience and not pure profit, some herbs will still be very beneficial for both.

Profit is calculated assuming that you have the Magic Secateurs and are using Ultracompost.

Herb Running

You’re now ready to do your first herb run! Your inventory should consistent of herb seeds, one ultracompost for every patch that you want to use, and all of the teleportation items that you need. Bring along a Spade, Seed Dibber and a Rake in case the patches grow weeds after harvesting.

Make sure to use compost on the disease-free patches because it will increase the yield! If you notice that you run out of energy during your runs, consider bringing a Stamina Potion.

The path you take will be different depending on which patches you choose to do. I personally do: Ardougne -> Troll Stronghold -> Canifis -> Hosidius -> Catherby -> Falador.

When your inventory fills up with osrs zeah money making, use them on the Tool Leprechaun to note them. This saves an incredible amount of time by not having to bank between each patch. Keep in mind that Grimy herbs are worth more money than cleaned herbs, if you’re just in it for the profit – do not clean them. Ironmen can benefit by cleaning them after harvesting so that you do not have to clean herbs in bulk at a later time.

Repeat your run every 80 minutes for maximum profit!

My first suggestion would've been what Eito already mentioned. Herb runs together with varrock diary staves guarantee a stable daily income, osrs zeah money making. Minimum 3-4 herb runs per day should net you a bond in two weeks.

To add to it, I highly suggest not letting your cash stack just sit in the bank if you're doing some skilling or slaying stuff. Flipping high volume items like runes, planks, osrs zeah money making, herbs, potions, food, etc. is a safe and sure way for your money to make more money (which varies depending on the size of your current cash pile). It might not be much, but with time it adds up. Later on once you have decent amount of cash, flipping lower volume higer profit % items osrs zeah money making another way to guarantee passive income.

Some other money making methods which could get you around 400-500k an hour: catching eclectics at puro puro, smithing steel bars at blast furnace (yes, even at lower than 60 smithing), pickpocketing master farmers (rogue set is a necessity), killing green drags, killing bots in the wilderness (even at the same green drag spots, or how to make a paper money cake out SirPugger on youtube for some ideas as his fans often suggest him new spots for bots).

These are the ones off the top of my head, if I remember something else I'll update the post.

Runecrafting is one of the more challenging skills to train.

Experience rates are notoriously low, it’s very click intensive, and it can be pretty repetitive and boring.

Despite all that, it can also be one of the most profitable skills to build up, with most players profiting hundreds of millions of gold on their way to 99.

But others players may aim for speed and try to maximize experience at the cost of income.

No matter what you’re going for, we’ve got some of the best training methods listed here to help you tackle Runecrafting and max out your account!

10. Tiara Crafting

If you’re just starting off then I recommend starting with tiaras before heading onto actual runes.

You’ll be spending some money to gain early levels, but the experience of 40-50k an hour makes it 100% worthwhile.

A fast player can get from level 1- 50 in about 3 hours.

How this method works is that you take an equal amount of talismans with blank Tiaras in your inventory to a respective altar.

Making Earth Tiaras is the cheapest method here, costing roughly 1.4m coins.

9. Double Cosmic Runes

Now let’s look at our first money making method of training: double cosmic runes.

You’ll need a minimum of level 59 Runecrafting to make x2 cosmic runes per pure essence.

To be able to do this method, you’ll also need to have completed the quest “Lost City”.

The best ways to do this would be in the Abyss, or by using the Fairy Ring system. However, if you use the fairy ring system just make sure you have 66 agility to make use of the agility shortcuts.

At best, with 50 inventories per hour, you can expect a profit of 645k gp per hour & an expected 17.2k runecrafting experience.

Profit will depend entirely on how focused you are.

8. Daeyalt Essences

Once you’ve completed “Sins of the Father” you’ll unlock the Daeyalt Essence mine.

With a level 60 mining, you can obtain Daeyalt Shards – which can be exchanged for Daeyalt Essence.

The essences are special because they provide a 50% bonus to Runecrafting experience when used, meaning you’ll spend less time Runecrafting to reach those higher levels.

It’s important to note that around 4400 shards can be mined per hour, too. Which is pretty good!

These essences can only be used in places where normal essence could be, used like the Ourania Altar, or on normal altars.

Also note that you cannot use these for Zeah Runecrafting.

7. Arceuus Library Books

This method is fairly common for ironmen, specifically ultimate ironmen, and it’s the best training method available for them in OSRS (due to their limited bank space).

This is almost like a mini-game where you’ll be running around the Arceuus library searching for random books.

There are a total of 16 different books that you can be asked to find for this.

And you can get a hint on the location of a book by speaking to Biblia, who’s located on the very top floor of the library.

Successfully retrieving a book will reward you with a Book of Arcane knowledge, which can be used to give yourself some Runecrafting experience.

You can expect to find roughly 120 books an hour, and the experience received per book scales based on your Runecrafting Level.

At level 50 you can expect about 23k experience per hour, while at level 70 you can expect around 33k experience.

6. Ourania Altar

Here’s a pretty common training method out there, and it might be of the most common methods for this skill – and it can be started from level 1 Runecrafting, too.

It’s highly recommended to have the lunar spellbook unlocked for this, and at least level 71 magic for the teleport to the Ourania Altar.

Grinding with this method is not viable without all of that.

But the good news is that this is a relatively low effort method. You can use the worlds for this altar and follow players, or use 3-clicks to get to the altar from the teleport spot.

The official world for this is 327.

The profit here isn’t too great, but the experience is fairly fast compared to other methods.

You can expect about 33k experience per hour at level 50 Runecrafting, and around 50k experience per hour at level 70 Runecrafting.

The higher the Runecrafting level, the higher the profit.

You should also wear weight reducing clothing, like full graceful, and a stamina potion for never-ending run time.

5. Abyss Runecrafting

The Abyss offers slower experience to runecrafting, in exchange for much higher profit.

The Abyss is located in the wilderness and takes you to a nexus which connects to every single altar in OSRS.

You’ll need to complete the mini-quest “Enter the Abyss” the begin using this nexus.

But in this spot, you can generally make 50 runs per hour, using a glory to teleport back to Edgeville after each trip and banking there.

I recommend wearing full graceful, equipping a black pickaxe, and taking stamina potions to ensure your trips go as fast as possible.

Keeping your weight as low as possible is key to saving run energy too, which equates to faster runs.

4. Lava Runecrafting

Lava Runecrafting is technically the fastest experience in the game.

But it is extremely exhausting as you click non-stop, and cannot AFK at all!

With a maximum effort level of training, you can get a massive 72k experience per hour. For Runecrafting, that is ridiculous.

Expect around 65k – 70k experience here instead, unless you plan on breaking your hand with all that clicking.

Note that you’ll need a few items for this method, such as a binding necklace, a duelling ring, a teleport to a bank (such as a crafting skill cape), and full graceful.

The binding necklace is needed because this is a combination rune. You’ll also need a stack of earth runes, too.

Most players avoid this method since it’s very intense.

But generally speaking, it is technically the fastest way to 99!

This method becomes available starting from level 23 Runecrafting.

3. Blood Runecrafting

Blood Runecrafting becomes available at level 77 Runecrafting, and it is one of the most AFK methods out there.

It’s also very profitable, which is a nice bonus. Granted it’s less profitable than Abyss Runecrafting, but it also provides minor amounts of mining and crafting experience.

To do this method you’ll need 100% Arceuus House Favour, a chisel, and a pickaxe.

It’s also recommended to have at least level 78 agility and full graceful.

This allows you to use the agility shortcuts, which makes the overall runtime substantially less.

I would also recommend that you complete the Kourend and Kebos Medium Diary. These allow you a 5% chance at mining x2 dense essence blocks instead of one. It’s a small chance, but it adds up.

From level 77 -90 you can expect to make 60m coin in profit, and 158k blood runes.

If you did this from 77 – 99 you would likely make about 178m profit and get 473k blood runes in total.

2. Double Nature Runes

This method is the best Runecrafting money maker in OSRS, and can be started at level 91 Runecrafting.

You can expect to make almost 1m coins an hour here, provided you’re efficient!

But the experience is very bad, at around 25k experience gained per hour.

So this method is almost always done from a profit perspective, not solely to gain levels.

There’s an Abyss and Fairy ring method as well, similar to cosmic runes.

I would only recommend the fairy ring method to players who have a fairy ring in their house, and an ornate pool, so that they can recover their run energy every trip.

1. Soul Runecrafting

Our number one spot goes to soul runecrafting – which is the big brother of blood runecrafting.

This is much better experience than blood runes, but slightly less profit.

You can expect roughly 45k experience per hour doing this method. And if you did soul runecrafting from level 90 – 99 you would make 253k soul runes, which is a profit of about 36m.

This is done the exact same way as blood runecrafting. It just requires a level 90 runecrafting to start.

You’ll also need 100% Arceuus House Favour, a chisel, and a pickaxe here as well.

I also highly recommend at least level 78 agility and a full graceful, so that your run energy doesn’t entirely deplete, and so that the agility shortcuts are available for you to use.

Good luck on your way to 99!

My first suggestion would've been what Eito already mentioned. Herb runs together with varrock diary staves guarantee a stable daily income. Minimum 3-4 herb runs per day should net you a bond in two weeks.

To add to it, I highly suggest not letting your cash stack just sit in the bank if you're doing some skilling or slaying stuff. Flipping high volume items like runes, planks, herbs, potions, food, etc. is a safe and sure way for your money to make more money (which varies depending on the size of your current cash pile). It might not be much, but with time it adds up. Later on once you have decent amount of cash, flipping lower volume higer profit % items is another way to guarantee passive income.

Some other money making methods which could get you around 400-500k an hour: catching eclectics at puro puro, smithing steel bars at blast furnace (yes, even at lower than 60 smithing), pickpocketing master farmers (rogue set is a necessity), killing green drags, killing bots in the wilderness (even at the same green drag spots, or check out SirPugger on youtube for some ideas as his fans often suggest him new spots for bots).

These are the ones off the top of my head, if I remember something else I'll update the post.

Welcome to my updated combat guide for Old School Runescape (07 'Scape). This guide will show you all of the best methods to help you achieve 99 in Attack, Strength, Defence and, as a result, Hitpoints.

Melee is one of the most important skills in the game as most money-making methods require PVM to be effective and a lot of social events are melee-based too. Here are a few basic training tips before the main guide:

• The best way (most efficient overall) to train all combat stats is through Slayer. This will level Slayer and Melee skills as well as Ranged and Magic if you utilize monsters weaknesses, using Magic for burst tasks such as Dust Devils and Nechryaels
• Always use the best weapons available to you, generally, a Scimitar until you can use an Abyssal Whip or Ghrazi Rapier (if you can afford it) however be aware that certain monsters have weaknesses that may make lower-leveled weapons better for killing that particular monster, such as stab weapons for dragons, etc.
• Try and use potions whenever possible as these will speed things up significantly, though some can be very expensive, with a Super Combat Potion currently costing around 15k gold each. An alternative, which is particularly useful for Ironmen, or poorer players, is to use the Dragon Battleaxe special attack, which has the same effect as a super strength potion, but lowers your other combat stats at the same time. Using this in conjunction with super attack potions provides a cheaper alternative to Super Combat potions
• Use prayers to give yourself offensive bonuses too, Piety gives insane melee bonuses which can improve kill speeds by around 40%—a huge bonus for melee training. Though this may cost a lot, it can be negated by "Pray Flicking"—a way of not using any prayer points!

Equipment

When choosing a weapon it's important to consider a few things: firstly, using the best weapon possible to you is nearly always the best option, but in some cases, a monster's weakness may mean this is not the case. Secondly, using a weapon with attack speed 6 is nearly always better than equivalent alternatives, at lower levels, a scimitar of the highest tier is usually the best choice.

For armor it is a similar story, the highest tier is always the best, however, some armors have quest or money requirements, so cheaper alternatives may be better. Both armor and weapons are shown in the table below.

The most important part of maximizing experience per hour when training combat is your Melee Strength Bonus—this controls how high you can hit, and for each armour slot, the second table below shows the maximum strength bonuses for each.

There are also some more key mentions:

• Black Mask/Slayer Helm: gives a 16.67% Attack and Strength boost against your Slayer Task
• Ring of Suffering: has massive defensive bonuses compared to the Berserker Ring, but usually not worth losing the Strength bonus of the Berserker Ring
• Leaf Bladed Battleaxe: This has a +92 Strength bonus, but is a slower attack speed. It is far better against Turoths and Kurasks due to an increased damage bonus

Best Equipment At Each Level

Training

Now that you've got your weapons and armor sorted, you should be ready to start training.

One thing to note is that you can change your attack style to train Attack, Strength or Defence, you should always prioritise Strength/Attack over Defence. The usual pathway to maxing your combat stats is to do a lot of quests early on to get combat experience.

Completing:

• The Grand Tree
• Fight Arena
• Waterfall Quest
• Tree Gnome Village
• Vampire Slayer

will give you mid 30's stats in both Attack and Strength. After this, the best strategy is to train:

1. Attack to 60, buy a Dragon Scimitar
2. Strength to 60
3. Attack to 70, buy an Abyssal Whip
4. Defence to 60, get a Dragon Defender at the Warrior's Guild

Next, note that the Abyssal Whip cannot train Strength exclusively - so you can either train Attack to 75, get a Ghrazi Rapier and train Strength to 99, Attack to 99 then Defence to 99, OR, you can train on 'controlled' with the Whip - giving equal experience in all 3 combat stats.

Note it is nearly always faster and more efficient to train Strength up to higher levels before attack.

This pathway is the fastest and most efficient but note that as you train on higher leveled monsters the need for better armour to reduce food/prayer costs may become a necessity, so train your skills in the order you see fit. But remember to prioritize offensive skills.

As for the training methods, I'll jump right in!

Training Methods

Levels 1–30:

Completing the Waterfall Quest will get you instantly to level 30 in both Attack and Strength - it is highly recommended to do this, if not, the methods below will give alternatives.

Levels 1–10:

From levels 1 to 10 you should train on chickens, found in eastern Lumbridge in the Farmer's pen. This won't take very long at all and chickens drop feathers too, which can be picked up for a slight profit!

Levels 10–60/70:

Here you should train at Ammonite Crabs on Fossil Island. These have 100 Hitpoints and low Defence and Attack. You will use barely any food here - none at all if high enough Defence level. It can get quite crowded sometimes but there are many AFK spots with 2/3 crabs.

You can also find Sand Crabs in Zeah, on the Hosidious Coast, or on Crab-Claw Island, though this requires 5,000 coins to reach, and only have 60 Hitpoints - but is often less crowded.

Levels 60/70–99:

At this point, you should train all the way to 99 using the Nightmare Zone. This is a safe minigame that rewards overloads or absorption potions in exchange for killing creatures that have already been encountered in quests. This gives very very good exp per hour and is considered the best training in the game.

A very good strategy for Nightmare Zone, and currently the meta for melee training, is to use a Dwarven Rockcake to lower yourself to 1 Hitpoint and use a Dharok's Armour Set for the massively increased damage while using the Absorption Potions which the minigame provides! This can yield around 140K combat experience per hour, not including the Hitpoints experience! It will also give you loads of Nightmare Zone Reward Points, which can be used to purchase Herb Boxes and make a large amount of money!

Alternatively, using full Obsidian Armour with an Obsidian Sword and a Berserker Necklace will give very high experience rates with no repair costs like in the Dharok Method. It is also viable to just use the best melee gear available to you here.

The monsters you should choose to fight are:

• Trapped Soul
• Count Draynor
• Sand Snake
• King Roald
• The Kendal
• Me
• Skeleton Hellhound
• Tree Spirit
• Khazard Warlord
• Black Knight Titan
• Bouncer
• Black Demon

If you do not wish to use the Nightmare Zone, then you can train on Yaks, found in Neitiznot, or by playing the Pest Control minigame, which also offers a cash reward and the ability to purchase the Void Knight Armour set and Helms, a very useful set of gear for later in the game—useful for most high leveled PVM content!

Slayer/AFK Training

There are two other melee training methods to talk about. Firstly, Slayer.

I mentioned above that Slayer is the best way to train Melee. Not only this but it also makes a lot of money and can train up your other stats too, such as Magic, Ranged and Prayer. Unless you have a reason to not want to level Slayer, it should be your main priority.

In contrast to this, if you do not have much time or need to study or anything like that, there is a very very simple AFK method of training your melee stats—this is AFKing Bandits in the Bandit Camp. This is a 100% AFK method of training and requires Guthan's armour set and Spear to work. Staying here for long periods of time and using the armour's passive healing effect keeps the player alive and gives exp without needing to do anything! Here is a video on the method below!

Welcome to my complete Free to Play Money Making Guide.

In this guide, I will show pretty much every single money maker worth doing in Free to Play.

So, you can work towards upgrading your armour or weapons, put towards skills or towards getting a bond.

Starting off

After completing Tutorial Island and landing yourself in Lumbridge, this is how I recommend you go about getting your first cash stack. Make your way to the Lumbridge Graveyard,

and ensure you still have the Bread and Shrimp that you got off Tutorial Island.

Speak to Count Check, and ask him where you can learn more.

He will teleport you one time straight to the entry of the Stronghold of Security,

where you can claim 10 000 coins, along with some Boots.

To claim your rewards, you will need to have activated 2 Factor Authentication on your Runescape account.

To quickly set that up, you can go into the Account Management Tab and click View Inbox.

This takes you to your account settings,

where you can then scan and set up your Google Authenticator in a couple of minutes.

So, these diagrams I made show you the safest way to go through each level of the Stronghold. The first level is completely safe. No monsters will attack you. But, the second and third levels do have some higher level monsters. As a new player, with 10 Hitpoints and low food, I suggest leaving the Stronghold after you loot the Chest on floor 3.

With the cash you get, you can go buy some good gear and weapons, and get into training.

At a low level, cows are a great way to train and make money at the same time. The 3 drops from cows combined make a total loot of about 250 coins per cow.

Imps are also a decent money maker due to their Bead drops and Mind Talismans. A few Imps roam around the Karamja Volcano, and I recommend using Magic or Ranged, since they teleport around quite a bit.

From here, you are pretty much set to start questing, to unlock more content, and level up towards Dragon Slayer.

Low Requirements

So, now, moving into the Low Requirement money makers…

Shop Selling

First up is Shop Selling, which you could potentially fit into the medium and high requirements, depending on the scale that you are doing it. But, it is still easily doable with under 10 000.

The goal with Free to Play Shop Selling is to buy items in bulk, and then take it to its specialised store, and since specialised stores buy items for usually more than their High Alch Value, you can make a big profit. Across Free to Play, there are a lot of stores with a high potential profit margin, and the key to finding good items is ones that are worth less than their High Alch Value, and are under 200 coins each.

Tanning Cowhide

The next Low Requirement Money Maker is Tanning Cowhide that you either buy off the Grand Exchange, or harvest yourself from killing cows. As a Free to Play player, you can turn Cowhide into Leather and Hard Leather. Cowhides have a stable price of around 120 coins each, and by taking them to the Hide Tanner in Al Kharid, you can pay 1 coin to turn them into Soft Leather, or 3 coins to turn them into Hard Leather.

Both Soft and Hard Leather have very similar prices, and the profit is about 40 coins per Tanned Cowhide. A full hour can net you a minimum profit of 60 000 per hour.

Making Iron Bars

Upon reaching level 15 Smithing, which you can easily get from doing The Knight’s Sword Quest, you unlock smelting Iron Ore. By using Rings of Forging, you are guaranteed an Iron Bar outcome, and you actually profit about 80 000 per hour. The closest Furnace to a Bank in Free to Play is now the Edgeville Furnace, which also has no requirements.

Making Silver Bars

You can also make Silver Bars at level 20, and by turning them into Bars, you profit about 30 coins per bar. In a full hour, you will profit about 40 000.

Sapphire Rings

Crafting is another low requirements skill that makes quite a lot of money in Free to Play. At level 20, you unlock Sapphire Rings, which are actually the most profitable Jewellery to make in Free to Play. Currently, it gives 110 per Ring that you make. This equates to 120 000 – 150 000 coins per hour, depending on how focused you are.

Emerald Rings

Emerald Rings are also decent money, giving 80 coins per ring, and they are unlocked at level 27 with a slightly better XP rate. Their hourly profit is about 100 000, though. So, it is a little bit less.

Medium Requirements

Moving into the Medium Requirement Methods…

Tele-Grab Nature Runes

The first one requires level 33 Magic for Telekinetic Grab. By taking a Staff of Air and Law Runes to this location in the Wilderness, you can tele-grab Nature Runes for a pretty big profit.

Be mindful though – this is a popular PK area, simply die to this money making method. But, with the huge increase in the number of Free to Play Worlds, this method is not so bad. Each tele-grab gets 3 or 4 Nature Runes, as well as 43 Magic XP. In an hour, consistently tele-grabbing and hopping, you can get 200 000 – 250 000 coins per hour.

Ogress Warriors

Next up is Ogress Warriors, and these can be found down the hole in the Corsair Cove Forest. To access Corsair Cove, you need to only start the Corsair Cursed Quest.

I recommend using Magic or Ranged to kill the Ogress Warriors, and there are many, many safe spots around the room. On the screen, I am showing all of the safe spots that I know of, and there are a lot in there if you go further into the cave.

There are also Ogress Shamans around here that you need to watch out for. They use Magic. But, they only have a Max Hit of 8. So, you can make it through as a low level. Ogress Warriors drop a lot of Runes and Rune items, equating to 100 000 – 200 000 coins per hour. This is completely depending on your weapon and Combat Level. These warriors are also great for Ironmen, since they drop a lot of Law Runes, Nature Runes and Alchables.

Anti-Dragon Shields

The next Medium Method is stock piling Anti-Dragon Shields in Edgeville after completing the Dragon Slayer Quest. He stocks 35 Shields for 26 coins at starting value, and they sell pretty much instantly for 75 coins on the Grand Exchange. The worlds are surprisingly empty as well – most likely due to the large number of Free to Play worlds. A full hour can net you a profit off about 80 000 after selling them back. But, keep in mind here, that you will need about 75 000 coins to start with to buy all the shields.

Mid-Level Mining

Mining Coal or Gold Ore is another decent way to profit as a Free to Play player. You can mine Coal near the Edgeville bank, at Barbarian Village, and the best place to mine Gold is in the Al Kharid Mine.A full hour of Coal can net you 30 000 – 40 000 per hour, while Gold can bring in up to and over 70 000 an hour.

Making Pizzas

The next method is cooking, and cooking overall is quite a profitable skill. But, the best way to profit is by making Pizzas. The process of making pizzas is a little longer than standard cooking. Lots of people will tell you that making Meat or Anchovy Pizzas is the best money. But, the most money actually comes out of making Pizzas from scratch.

By using a Pizza Base, which you can make with a Bucket of Water and a Pot of Flour, you can add a Tomato and Cheese to make it an Uncooked Pizza.

Cooking it turns a profit of 180 coins per pizza. You can then add Meat or Anchovies to it. But, that will only boost the profit by about 20 coins. One important thing to know though, is that you will have a chance of burning the Pizzas until 68 Cooking, where after that you will never burn an Uncooked Pizza. Cooking in itself is fairly break-even and profitable. So, getting to 68 should not take too long or cost much at all.

Tele-Grab Wines

Next is a very well-known money maker in Free to Play, and that is Wines of Zamorak. With Telekinetic Grab Runes, you can make your way to the Chaos Temple, located north of Falador.

There is now a ladder within the Temple that requires you to be wearing a Zamorak Monk Top and Bottom.

As well as that, you need to have 500 total levels. The upstairs wine is far less crowded, and grabbing wine for the full hour here – if you do not get disturbed and you use a Falador Teleport to bank and go back – then, you can easily achieve over 200 000 – 300 000 per hour here.

High Requirements

Smithing Rune

Now, let’s get into the High Level Requirement Money Makers for Free to Play.

First, arguably the best money maker in Free to Play, as well the highest requirement method in this article, and that is Smithing Rune Plateskirts, Platelegs or 2h Swords at 99 Smithing. In an hour, you can make 700 000 – 900 000, depending on how focused you are. That easily pulls in at least 400 000 per hour. It is worth checking the prices for these, though, and working it out yourself. This is because Rune Bars can fluctuate quite a lot. Something that is also worth noting is that you will need a big cash stack to start.

Cutting Yews

The next High Requirement method is a pretty average one in terms of making money, and that is cutting Yew Trees, which need 60 Woodcutting. At level 60, you can only expect a maximum of about 40 000 coins per hour. At higher levels above 90 Woodcutting, you can get up to 80 000 profit an hour.

There are 2 location in free to Play that are good. The first is behind Varrock Castle, where the Grand Exchange is the nearest bank.

Secondly, there is the location in Edgeville behind the ruined building area.

Mining Rune

With a high Mining level, you can make stack of money in Free to Play. At 85 Mining, you unlock Runite Ore, and you can mine and hop north of the Lava Maze for a maximum profit of 450 000 per hour. There are often PKers around here.

Mining Adamant

So, a safer option is mining Adamant, which is unlocked at level 70. There are actually a lot of Adamant Rocks in Free to Play Runescape. The closest ones to the bank are at the Lumbridge Swamp south-west to mine, banking at Draynor,

and the Al Kharid Mine, banking at the Al Kharid bank.

Mining Adamant consistently for an hour can net you 130 000 – 180 000 coins per hour.

Melee Ogress Warriors

The final High Requirement Methods in this article are Combat Methods, where I recommend having at least full Rune and a Rune Scimitar. First, using Melee on Ogress Warriors can be considerably faster than using Magic or Range, and you will get a slight boost in your profit per hour.

Melee Ankous
