How Do You Earn On HubPages?

HubPages have an Ad Program that you can sign up for (you’ll need a Google AdSense account for this), and once you have done this, they will pay you a portion of their advertising revenue (about 60% of the total that your articles generate). The exact formula for how they work out payments is known only to them, but it usually comes out at between $2 and $5 per 1000 views. What You’ll Need To Do

First, you'll need to open an account with HubPages and sign up for the Ad Program (and Amazon Program if you wish). Then, start writing some good quality, hubpages can you make money, keyword targeted articles (hubs) which people will love to read, and hopefully share with their friends (keywords are simply words and phrases that people search for by typing them into Google or the other search engines).

How Much Would You Like To Earn?

Big money means different things to different people. To some it might be $500 a month; others may be thinking more in terms of $5000 a month. Either of these is possible if you set your mind on what you want to accomplish, and are prepared to do the required work to get there.

But as an example, let’s say you are aiming for $3000 a month. How are you going to achieve that?

Well, let’s do the math:

As I said earlier, I average a little over $3 per 1000 views. So that’s about $1 per 300 views. At that rate, to earn $3,000 you will need 3,000 X 300 views, which is 900,000 views.

So to earn $3,000 a month, you need to be getting around 900,000 views per month!

That’s a lot of views. So how are you going to achieve that?

Well, 900,000 views per month comes out at 30,000 views per day. So lets suppose you are a well established "hubber", you are ranking well in Google for a large number of keywords, and you are getting extra traffic from all the promotional work you have done. 30,000 divided by 50 = 600

Just focus on writing 200 great quality, informative, keyword targeted hubs, and promote them as much as you can. Write 4 per week and you’ll be there in a year! Even if you only write 2 per week, you’ll still make it in 2 years.

5 Tips to Write a Great Hub

If you write great hubs, people will want to read them and share them. They will also rank better in Google. So here are 5 tips to help you do that:

1. Write detailed, comprehensive articles, at least 700 words in length, but ideally 1000 – 1500 words. More if you wish.
2. Target specific keywords, but write for your readers – not for Google (i.e. write naturally).
3. Break your hubs into sections, and your sections into paragraphs, hubpages can you make money. Use punctuation and grammar properly. Avoid spelling mistakes and typing errors.

Unless you know different of course. I know average hubbers only average $1 per hub per month, but this is not about being average. If you can get a number of good keywords on page 1 of Google there's no reason why you should not far exceed this amount.

I don't think you've taken into account the hubber/hubpages 60/40 split.Based on your example, you'd need a total of 1,500,000 views per month, not 900,000 to earn $3000 per month. Both are extremely unlikely.

That's not to say that earning figure couldn't be reached, but it would most likely be through a big proportion of amazon/ebay sales which offer a much higher return than $3 per 1000.

As embarrassed as I am to say this, I've been a Hubber for over two years, and Hubpages can you make money haven't yet used the Amazon affiliate link program to earn money on my hubs. Have you written a hub providing instructions on how to do so? I'm going to look through your hubs to see if you have. However, if you haven't written such a hub, do you know where I could go here in HubPages to find such a hub? I'm already earning commission through Google Adsense here on HubPages. Getting that Google Adsense account was a major event in my life. Now I want to find a way to earn more money on top of it through the Amazon affiliate program. :-)

Hi, Brenda! With Pinterest, I think the content of the article really matters. For instance, articles that have to do with child birth or parenting do okay there because that's the type of content that circulates quickly on Pinterest.
